| Properties: | This host strain is a derivative of the Falcon strain and can be used for bioengineering where purified products with reduced endotoxicity are desirable. Enterobacterial common antigen is no longer produced and a UDP N-acetylglucose epimerase has been chromosomally integrated increasing the availability of UDP-GalNAc. The Campylobacter jejuni pglB oligosaccharyltransferase with a 0.1 strength Anderson promoter is integrated into the chromosome of the Falcon strain, between atpI and gidB using CRISPR technology, for bioconjugation. |
